Peace One Day premiers their new film at The Petchey Academy.

On 13th May 2009 40 Petchey Students were invited to the launch of a new Citizenship initiative by Peace One Day, with the help of actress Jaime Winstone and a presentation by its founder, Jeremy Gilley.

The Citizenship Resource aims to advance active learning in the areas of conflict resolution, global citizenship, human rights and the link between sustainability and peace, using Peace Day on 21st September as a focus.

The students were chosen because of their motivation and commitment in Citizenship lessons and their particular interest in Human Rights.  A number of the students are now helping towards organising an event for Peace Day on 21st September 2009.
