Looked After Children  

Vulnerable Pupils/Previously Looked After Children  
 

At the Petchey Academy we work towards providing the right type of support for all our vulnerable and disadvantaged students.  Our aim is to raise attainment and help students of all abilities to reach their potential.   

 

The Education and Skills Funding Agency provides the academy additional funding for Looked After and Previously Looked After Children through the Pupil Premium Grant.   


Previously looked after children are those who immediately after being in care (A child is 'looked after' (in care) if they are in the care of the local authority for more than 24 hours.) became subject to an Adoption Order, Special Guardianship Order or a Child Arrangement Order.  

 

We also support the following students under:  

  • A Special Guardianship Order  
  • Child Arrangement Order  
  • Adoption Order
