We are very keen to involve parents and carers in academy life as much as we possibly can in order to support their child's learning as well getting involved in activities and events within the academy. There are plenty of ways you can keep up to date:
Our Parent Portal intranet
is available to all parents and gives direct access to real time information on your child's attainmant, behaviour and attendance, plus important notices from the academy and our weekly menu. It's also used to share useful support material for parents on things like online safety and mental health, and you can use it to inform us of a change of address or contact details. Requests for log in details should be sent to email@example.com
You can access the Parent Portal via the drop down "quick link" at the top of this page, or simply click here:
We run Parent Forum meetings
on the second Tuesday of every semester from 5-6.30pm, all parents and carers are invited to attend and voice their comments, suggestions or concerns. It is a good opportunity to get answers to your questions and to meet other parents. If you would like to attend, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
There is also a Whatsapp Parents Forum which is open to all parents and can be used for information sharing, giving feedback and asking questions. Please see the panel to the left of this column for details on how to join.
We send out a weekly parents' newsletter
full of news, events and important information from the academy so if you'd like to receive this please email email@example.com.
You can also find the academy on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram - the links are on the home page of this website.
We trust that you will find this website easy to navigate and that it supports us in giving you the tools to feel fully engaged in your child’s education and the life of the academy. We are constantly reviewing the content of the website and Parent Portal and would appreciate any feedback via Jayne.Nelson@petcheyacademy.org.uk
Following feedback from our Parent Forum, we have created the following Parent Guides to help parents to better support their child.
Parent Guide to Behaviour Management
How to use Show My Homework
Home Learning Guidelines
Managing social media use and screen time
Your Money Matters - Student Handbook
Your Money Matters - Teacher/Parent Guide
