developing independent and accomplished learners

At The Petchey Academy Sixth Form our aim is to develop independent and accomplished learners, well prepared for whichever career pathway they decide to follow.

The Petchey Academy ethos of “inspiring and supporting every student” continues in our sixth form. We are focussed on supporting students to
achieve their very best in whichever career path they choose. Whilst many of our students do to go on to university, our partnership with Bloomberg and the Career Ready programme has also enabled several
students to secure prestigious apprenticeship
placements.
I am very proud of all of our sixth form students, in August 2018 68% of our cohort gained at least 3*A-C grades with a large proportion of students choosing to go on to study specialism-related subjects at top universities including Cambridge, Kings, Durham and Queen Mary’s.
One of the top reasons that our students give for choosing to come to our sixth form is high quality pastoral care, guidance and support structure
from our sixth form team. Daily seminar time with academic tutors and small class sizes mean that students are extremely well supported by tutors that know them well.
We look forward to welcoming you.
