Sixth form students were lucky enough to have a visit from two London Paramedics on Wednesday. They had an opportunity to ask questions about the profession as well as some time for Mylton and Jimmy to share some of their stories and experiences they have had working on the London Streets. They then demonstrated how CPR is performed and the students had the opportunity to perfect these skills on dummies. The students were talked through the kit that is carried on the ambulance including how patients are transported safely onto boards and then onto stretchers, oxygen tanks, blood pressure machines and chances to try on bullet proof vests. The visit ended with a visit to the ambulance, which the students could explore.
