Rehearsals for The Petchey Academy production of 'The Willow Pattern' have been underway for the last few months. Students have been working hard to perfect their performances and are looking forward to performing to the school on the 9th July 2008.

Highlights of this performance will also be performed during The Petchey Academy Celebrations Evening. 

'The Willow Pattern' was chosen during the Academy theme of 'China' and year 8 students studied this folk tale during their curriculum Drama lessons.

The story of 'The Willow Pattern' is most famously known through the famous blue and white patterned plate and tells the tale of a vengeful Mandarin and his spirited daughter.
