WELCOME TO THE ICT DEPARTMENT
Why Study ICT at The Petchey Academy?
Students at The Petchey Academy enjoy ICT as this is an opportunity for them to develop their communication, team working and of course computer skills. Year 7s and 8s have 1 hour a week to study the National Curriculum units with a thematic approach.
The ICT Department is proud to have State of the Art equipment to aid students studying at the Petchey Academy. Teachers also thrive to produce the best resources available for all students.
KS3
Students at KS3 are currently studying Microsoft applications as well as other recognised software. We aim to incorporate the themes used each semester within our teaching therefore students have the opportunity to learn the skill as well as discover information about the theme.
So far, the students at The Petchey Academy have produced various work, such as:
· Adverts (Promoting a Healthy Lifestyle)
· Websites (Why am I still Special?)
· Quiz in Excel (Inventions)
· Searching for information and Presenting it (China)
· Presentation (Why am I special and Healthy Lifestyle)
· Creating a Newspaper (My Community)
· Modelling in Excel (British Climate)
