Transition from primary to secondary school
At The Petchey Academy we understand that the transition from primary to secondary school can be both exciting and daunting for both parents and students alike.
Our aim is to make that process as smooth as possible to ensure that students are happy and settled, and parents and carers have all the information they need and, more importantly, peace of mind.
Our New Families Handbook page tells you everything you and your child need to know before they start. The New Student Welcome Pack has been edited by current Year 7 students at Petchey so should answer some of the questions your might have about their new school.
Unfortunately, due to the current situation with Covid-19 and school closure. we will not be able to host the usual transition events for new families starting in September 2020.
Between July and September we will be launching a series of online Q&A sessions and short films to introduce the academy and key members of staff.
Parents and carers with questions regarding admissions for September 2020 should email email@example.com.
