Black Lives Matter - useful resources for families & students

News ‐ 4 Jun 2020

The death of George Floyd is truly shocking and we know that many of our students and families will be feeling hurt, scared and angry about what has happened. We share those feelings of deep sorrow and anger and condemn racism and prejudice in all its forms.

The Petchey Academy is an incredibly vibrant and diverse community with staff and students from many different backgrounds and we do not tolerate racism or prejudice in any form. The death of Mr Floyd highlights how vital it is that we never stop fighting discrimination and hate in our school, our local community, this country and across the world.

If any of our students need to talk to our Student Wellbeing Manager Ms Ferguson about how you are feeling please get in touch with the academy immediately via your Academic Tutor or Year Lead.
