Safeguarding
All adults who come into contact with our students in their work have a statutory duty of care to safeguard and promote their welfare.
The Excelsior Academy provides guidance that applies to all adults, including volunteers working in or on behalf of the academy.
All safeguarding concerns can be reported directly to the school by using the following email addresses.

Safeguarding children goes much further than simply protecting them from neglect and abuse. It is also about keeping them safe from accidents, crime, bullying and actively promoting their welfare in a healthy and safe environment.

The online world is integral to how children stay in touch with their friends, and access to the internet is now available like never before.
However, there are risks associated with new technologies and it is essential that young people and their parents/carers understand how to keep those risks to a minimum.
