School Meals
The Excelsior Academy provides both hot and cold meal options for students. The meals are great quality, delicious and healthy.
Our menu is published on this website a week in advance and our current provision supports a choice of:
- A hot main meal with dessert (all meat is certified Halal)
- A hot vegetarian option with dessert
- A jacket potato with a choice of fillings with dessert
- A selection of filled sandwiches and baguettes
We are also pleased to offer a free healthy school breakfast, available to all from 7:30am until 8:15am each day.
The latest menu and information about what is on offer is updated weekly on this page and we welcome feedback about the meal offer.
If you prefer to provide your child with a packed lunch please take a look at the information below for ideas on how to ensure that it is balanced and nutritious.
Please note, however, that the following items must not be brought into school:
- Nuts (to safeguard those with allergies - we are a nut-free school!)
- Fizzy and/or energy drinks
- Sweets and Chocolate bars

Paying for school meals
Academy meals must be paid for in advance. We are a cashless school and we use ParentPay to pay for meals. Students will need money in their account to purchase food from the refectory. For students in receipt of Free School Meals, accounts will be topped up automatically.
A full school meal is currently £2.50.
As we using cashless catering tills at the point of purchase, parents and carers will only be charged when their child purchases a meal.

We review our suppliers regularly to ensure they comply to the school's high standards so that we can maintain our excellent service.
Our meat is certified Halal supplied by the Middlesex Meat Company.
